Due to the heavy rain and wind, our ride will be postponed until Saturday, October 19. The conditions will be too wet and they are calling for more showers and wind for ride day. Not fun for riding! Hopefully all our entries will still be able to make it, If you wanted to enter, but couldn't come this Saturday and are free on the 19th, contact us about entering.
It is time to join us for our annual Judged Pleasure Ride again! A favorite event, this ride includes judged (optional) obstacles on a 2-3 hour marked trail ride through the beautiful Chester County countryside of Brandywine Hunt country and the Laurels. Each obstacle awards points based on the level of skill of the horse. While our obstacles are designed to be fun and test you on things that might happen during a trail ride, you may always take the option of not doing it (with the exception of the water crossings - the trail continues on the other side of the water so your horse needs to get across ). The points are added up and ribbons are awarded in several divisions, depending on entries - based on breed, age of rider, mares, gelding, stallions, etc. All breeds are welcome, but non-Arabians and non-Half/Anglo Arabians are ineligible for Ride Champion and Reserve Champion.
There will be a game added to the ride that we are keeping a secret. In past years we have had Trivia and Poker. We like to try to change it up every year. Prizes will be awarded! Food and drinks are included in your entry fee. Our campfire roasting of hot dogs and marshmallows has always been a big hit! Don't forget to bring a chair for after the ride. It promises to be great fun as always! We do have a raindate of October 19 if it should happen to rain heavily. NOTE! PAHA members receive a $5 discount of of their entry fee!! It is that time of year again! Time for our annual SE District Social. Once again we are holding at the New Bolton Center on Saturday, February 23 at 1:00 p.m. Please join for yummy food, great speakers, door prizes and raffles of great items. We know it is the same weekend as the Horse Expo in Harrisburg, but do try to make it - you'll be glad you did!
